Introducing OpenGraphDebug.com
A short welcome to OpenGraphDebug, why it exists, and where to start.
I tried to help one of friends to debug their OG tags. And when I tested most of the tools I found on the Internet, they didn't show any issues, however the customer OG preview card wasn't displayed on X (formerly Twitter).
I reverse-engineered how X crawls and renders OG tags, and realized that most OG tags validator do not have these additional checks that make the difference.
I decided I need to create my own Open Graph tags tester. And OpenGraphDebug.com was born.
OpenGraphDebug.com shows link previews for all major social media platforms. And if something is wrong or broken, it will show exact errors that prevent the link preview from being displayed correctly.
Try to use it to validate your OG tags and preview how social platforms will render your URL.
By additional request, later I added a favicon checker to validate your favicon and app icons are set up the right way.
